Travel Alert – U.S. Embassy, Montevideo, Uruguay (March 26, 2020)

LATAM airlines has informed the Embassy of a flight departing Montevideo tomorrow, March 27, 2020, at 18:00 from Carrasco airport to Sao Paolo. Sao Paolo continues to have connecting flights to the United States. Tomorrow’s departing flight is the last flight with availability the Embassy is aware of until next week. Please note that given the uncertainty of the situation, there is no guarantee flights will continue. Therefore, the Embassy urges all U.S. citizens who wish to depart Uruguay to do so immediately.
Please contact MontevideoACS@state.gov immediately if you wish to depart on the March 27 LATAM flight.
All U.S. citizens in Uruguay should continue to prepare by ensuring they have sufficient food, medicine, and supplies should they need to remain in Uruguay for an extended period of time.
