The Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will travel to Uruguay and Guatemala the first week in March.
In Uruguay, the Vice President will lead the U.S. delegation to the Inauguration of His Excellency Tabare Vazquez. Then, in what will be his second visit to Guatemala, the Vice President will hold two days of meetings with the Presidents of Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, and Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) President Luis Alberto Moreno to follow-up on implementation of the “Alliance for Prosperity” announced in November 2014.
While in Guatemala, the Vice President will meet with representatives from the private sector and civil society, as well as visit examples of successful violence prevention efforts.
